Huh. I just realize I had a blog.
Okey not really but hey whatever it's my blog.
ANYWAY!
This past week I've been playing inFAMOUS if you couldn't guess from the title. The game is pretty much Grand Theft Auto style when it comes to it's world, which is nice! But instead of being a gangsta rapper from da hood(San Andreas), you're a normal person who just got superpowers! Electrical powers in fact! SHOCKING EH!? EH!?
Anyway, the story is pretty simple yet good. Not great, but good. It all starts out with you waking up in a crater after an electrical explosion, which triggered you into awakening your powers! Anyway, from there on you begin to master your powers and try to find a way out from there. You play as Cole McGrath, superior bicycle courier that is to deliver a package when everything fucks up and you become a superhero/villain. Trish, your girlfriend hohoho, is pretty much a bitch through the good half of the game(only if you play through the good side, otherwise she's always a bitch), Zeke, your best friend, is envious of you getting powers but still hangs out with you. Then, we have Moya, super secret agent that is your ONE CHANCE to get out of this hell.
Then there is your nemesis! KESSLER! Yeah I'm just going to say his name, so figure it out on your own. There is also John that your chasing, trying to find him so you can find the Ray Sphere(the reason for everything). Anyway, the thing is you can choose between good and evil. However, the difference is only your power and at the end of the game (and I actually mean AFTER THE GAME), when you can actually BECOME EVIL.
Yeah. Thanks for the choices.
But the gameplay is solid. Sure, it might feel like a tad too much a third person shooter but hey, at least they pulled it off nicely. You can shoot lightning balls(hardy har har har), shockwaves, shock grenades, rockets and a LIGHTNING STORM. Oh you can also melee if you're into that but meh. Most of the powers are based on your karma, if you're good or evil, and you eventually turn into a walking death machine. Or electric battery. Whichever you prefer.
If you have a PS3, I recommend that you at least RENT this game! Sure, it's fun, but if you just want to get through the story which can be achieved in less than 7 hours, then rent it. Otherwise, it's a solid buy which will keep you busy.
As long as you can cause riots I am all good!
Now I shall wait for my PSP to arrive. I want me some Crisis Core.
Assassin Creed and Trudvang: Ljuset i Dunklet Part Deux!
So, this weekend there was roleplay. But before I decide to go into that, I'll go into my latest finished game; Assassin Creed. Or as I like to call it, Ass Ass In Creed.
Assassin Creed
So, I've been wanting to finish this game for a long time. The only chance I got to play it was when I went to my friend, Niklas, but he however had to move away and I lost ze chance. The game wasn't heartbrokening, but that Niklas moved was.
Oh well, a year later I finally get to borrow AC from my friend, Thomas. I've know finished it, not with all the flags though, but everything else. Saved every citizen, saw every view point and did all the investigations.
So, okey, I love the gameplay. I think it's awesome you can pretty much run wherever you want in the world. The battle system could use some work, seeing as counter is pretty much the cheapiest skill ever.
The story is just messed up. Yes, I get it. The whole Future thing was crazy, but it WORKS. At least it makes some sense compared to the Metal Gear series(which I love so much).
But now I can't really wait for Assassin Creed 2, to see how it unfolds. Anyway, I got nothing more to say than if you really like to be stealthy and still hack your way through, this is your game. Story, perhaps not, but at least it is something entertaining!
Ljuset i Dunklet Part Deux!
Previous Part!
Yeah! Roleplay meeting two! Been waiting for it for over two weeks now and it felt good to sit down and just roleplay once more.
However, it didn't go quite as well. First, three new adventurers joined us! It was the frightened Siggert(not sure how to spell it XD), then a fearsome spear-fish-hunting Troll that I never heard the name and lastly a forgetful warrior! They were played, as in order, Manne, Eric and Jeremiahs.
The adventure started off where we last left off, in the Minotaur village. Most of the attention though was focused on introducing the new characters and on Oleif. Me and two others just didn't get as much 'screen' time as I thought, but hey, I can live with that seeing as we're a pretty big group now.
Anyway, with two new additions (Jeremiahs character joined later on), we decided to set off from the village once more! It didn't take long untiiiiiiiiil...
THE KNIGHT THAT IS MOST LIKELY UNDEAD APPEARED TO US AGAIN AND TRIED TO KILL ALL OF US EVEN MAKING THE TROLL FRIGHTENED AND I HAD TO WAKE HIM UP FROM IT SO THE CREATOR WOULDN'T HAVE TO MAKE A NEW CHARACTER. THEN WE RAN AND I RAN WITH RHUDWAR.
After awhile we found an old old old old old old old church. One so old that the devils themselves wouldn't know why it was so old. Anyway, we entered it and DUNN DUNN DUNN we finally saw the bad guy himself!
Kastor, his name was, was a short little being that I saw no fear in. Unfortunately, I was the first one to be knocked out. Like snap and I was knocked out. The others at least had a decent conversation with him but it all ended with us getting knocked out.
Then we found Jeremiahs character! He was cool, named Kraal or Lars. I can't remember which but whatever. Anyway, we manage to get out from our cell, which was cool. Really cool. Then we decided to do some exploring, but I decided to make some more interaction with the group instead seeing as the group wasn't holding up good.
However, I think I only managed to get Rhudwar and Jeremiahs' attention, but at least I was getting more friends as my character! However, after awhile we found a way down and down we went! And found a similiar puzzle that of Zelda, but I'm way too lazy to bother describing it.
Anyway, after awhile we suddenly found Uroboros look-alikes attacking us! (Resident Evil 5 reference) My character was the first one to be assaulted, but I managed to quickly make my escape as the rest kept on fighting. But hey, it's all cool since they're all still alive. We went into a circular room with a single lever, PULLED IT AND WOOOOSH WE WENT DOWN AND BAM EVERYTHING WENT BLACK.
And that ended the meeting. The Dungeon Master was disappointed in the meeting and the bigger audience with roleplayers. And now they've made a rule which says "The roleplay group may only have 6 adventurers at the max."
Which I believe is far the stupidest thing I've heard in a roleplay group. It just seems like they're trying to have an excuse for not getting more attention. And I will say what I said to one of the other roleplayers in the group. "The problem isn't in the group; it is how we are all trying to stand out from the group, instead of working as a group. If we were to work as group, not individuals all the time, the focus would get better and the roleplays would be better."
I can only hope that people in my group reads this, as it is the group that makes the roleplay. Not the amount of adventurers, but how they work as a group. Maybe not in-game, but work with each other.
That's all I've got to say! Peace out!

E3! Day Zero and Day One!
So, it's E3 this week! Are you excited? Eh? Eh?
No?
Get out ye heathen.
Anyway, this is the week for us gamers to divulge into more and MORE games that will be coming. And so far, I'm impressed! This year's E3 beats the living crap of last year.
Frickin Wii Music.
Anyway, I will only talk about the Press Conferences, namely Microsoft, Nintendo and lastly Sony. Don't worry, they were in that order.
MICROSOFT
So this year Microsoft seems pretty confident! Althought I gave up watching the Microsoft Press Conference time from time due to the lagging, they were pretty sharp in from what I saw. Not only did they talk about one Halo game, but TWO! Even though I'm not a Halo fan, good for you!
Two other games that brought my attention was Left 4 Dead 2 and... the horror. The very absolute horror itself. Metal Gear Solid Rising for the 360! (don't fret, it was later revealed to not be an exclusive, coming for XBOX360, PS3 and PC!)
Anyway, then I saw something that truly caught my mind. Project Natal it was called, something way more revolutionary than the wii-mote! It looks awesome, but I fear that I won't play it any time soon. What a shame.
Then apparently they were suddenly saying that XBOX360 and Facebook will be the best of buddies now! Also Twitter! I DON'T CARE HAHAHA SHOW ME GAMES.
And that ended the press conference. Anti-climatic.
NINTENDO
Last year at Nintendo's PR there was something called Wii Music. Something, well, awful. Awfuuuuul. So I was expecting something better for the audience this year.
First off the bat? Mario. And when I say Mario, I mean THREE MARIO GAMES. Epic! Sure two of them for the DS and one for the Wii, but hey at least they are bringing us REAL GAMES. HAHA I AM SO CLEVER.
They also showcased Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, Dead Space: Extraction and lastly The Conduit.
Then it as the usual stuff about the wii-motion-plus that would make everything better. Including your mom. Actually, they also talked about Wii Fit Plus as well, making everything add up! This kept going for awhile.
Then, without any warning, they announced... ANOTHER MARIO GAME! What a shocker!
Actually the biggest surprise was when this GAME was announced. It was beautiful, trust me.
That ended this Press Conference. Better than last year, but still no word about Zelda for the Wii. Why?
SONY
Last but definitely not least, we have Sony on the list! After Project Natal, Sony would really have to bring up some damn good stuff!
Well, my mind can't remember EVERYTHING that happened at Sony's press conference seeing that it was 2 hours long. 2 hours of pure happiness.
First off, they began to show some Uncharted 2, which I believe was followed up with Modern Warfare 2, which looks absolutely stunning. Also there was showcasing of MAG, but I didn't care much about it. If I remember right, it was followed up with the PSP content! There was the announce for a new PSP called PSP Go! Then there was Gran Turismo for the PSP and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, which was some good news really! However, FOUR SNAKES!? WTF KOJIMA (it was probably multiplayer)
Then there was some video montage, which I sat and had puppy eyes. The eyes clearly representing "me wantz".
One day.
Then they showed us demo of two things! First was Assassin Creed 2, which looks superior to the first one. It's a must have for you Assassin/Ninja fans! After that, they showed the PS3's very own Motion Controller(which was way better than the Wii-Mote). And it worked wonderfully, even better than the wii-mote. Although it did look like a dildo(don't worry they're changing the design).
Anyway, after that came some one of the biggest... surprise in E3. First, they showed a trailer of FFXIII which has been overdue for a couple of years now. Like 3. And then...
The man spoke: "Final Fantasy... XIV". While I don't have a link to that trailer yet, it should be know that... if they make the game without monthly subscriptions they are forgiven. Like in an instant. Square will be forgiven for all their wrong doings. All of them!
All of them.
Then there was some talk about Little Big Planet and racing. Oh and Disney themes for LBP. My attention wasn't really in here, but it went to what came after this.
I can't remember if they showed a trailer here, perhaps because it is 1:30am over here, but also because what they showed next was pretty interesting. God of War III live demo! Sure, it looks great but nothing has really changed but the graphics. Oh well, I'm sure it will score a 10/10 for a hack n slash game!
Before wrapping things up, they showed one last trailer known as The Last Guardian. Sure, it looks great and I wouldn't mind owning it, but I am not really sold for the idea yet. Oh well, maybe next trailer.
And that was it from Sony's side.
From what I saw, Sony pretty much owned the floor with their PR with Microsoft coming a close second(remember I didn't see everything from Microsoft PR). Nintendo was just awful and I didn't bother to see EA and Ubisoft's PR.
In the end, this E3 has been very pleasing so far. Sony has great games coming, Nintendo has FOUR MARIO GAMES AND METROID and Microsoft has PROJECT NATAL that looks awesome. So overall, I think that everyone should walk away happy.
Me?
I'm going to *** **** my ****** thinking of Final Fantasy XIV.
No?
Get out ye heathen.

Dead Space: CUT OFF THE LIMBS!
So this weekend I finished Dead Space. While I didn't buy it I got to borrow it from a friend, where he borrowed Resident Evil 5. Anyway, onto the horror!
So the game starts out fairly unharming. Yes, you fly in a spaceship with four other dudes into a ship(I know crazy) and you decide to fix whatever problem that has occured. Unfortunately, if you know horror you know that shit f**ks up here. You go further into the ship and BA-DAMN YOU ARE BEING SURROUNDED BY ALIENS AND OH MY GOD RUN RUN RUN INTO THE ELEVATOR I AM SAFE.
And now I have to go through 12 chapters of trying to survive. Great, fantastic. I won't spoil the story but EVERYONE DIES IN THE END EVEN ISAAC.
Oops.
Onto the gameplay. The mechanics were fine, even the whole "I can slow everything down" to "I can move stuff with my mind". The weapons were meh, but you really only need the Plasma Cutter throughout the whole game and you'll be fine. Trust me.
The story was meh, nothing impressive but nothing disappointing. I just wish that it wasn't so predictable.
But what really made the game was the horror. Sure, you might just be scared for the good half of the game but it does it so well, you might need to change your pants twice.
Or panties for you girls.
Anyway, while I could sit down and go for the Platinum trophy, I'm not. Mainly because I'm not THAT bored, but also because I don't want to. Plus I need to finish FFXII even though I HATE IT SO MUCH.
Ugh.
I can only hope that some game will grace me soon. Very soon. Like that Metal Gear.
Peace out folks!
