HAHA FUCKING TEST

I am not going to blog for awhile as I'm preparing for a test, but if I get Ratchet and Clank the coming week, you can expect a review next week.

TIL THEN?
HAVE SOME NOSTALGIC CRITIC.

Bitchin, Depressive and just plain Annoying.

For a long time I've noticed that most people I meet online are more than welcome to share their problems with me. Even if it is the slightest "I feel meh" to "I'M GOING TO JUMP A F**KING CLIFF AND KILL MYSELF", it's getting to the point of ridicule. Sure, at first I was concerned. But right now, after seeing it more than I can count...

I'm starting to not care anymore. It's like I can't even fake the whole "Oh no don't kill yourself you have so much to live for". And do you know why it's become like this? Because it's always the same freaking story.

My life is bad, my dad sucks, my mom doesn't like me, I hate myself, everyone I know hates me, I'm better off dead and yadda yadda yadda. Stop it, you're embarrasing yourself. And please, stop coming to me for all your petty problems that can be solved by TALKING to a person you know IRL(In Real Life)!

Seriously. People just assume they can throw everything at someone else, to relieve them off the pain. Now I get it if you lost your cat, grandma or something really precious to you. But just going to off yourself because someone doesn't like you? Come on, I'm more convinced that the Swine Flu exists!

So, PLEASE, I beg you. If you have a problem that can be solved by talking to someone you trust, then do that. Don't go to some stranger on the net and tell your life story, they'll eventually stop caring. Like me. Now, you can however come to me if you're feeling angry and need to yell out stuff. But don't you dare try and make me sympathize you, that won't work on me.

Sorry for this post, but I'm getting sick of people writing on MSN "I'd be better off dead" all the time, just to get some attention. Next post will be more cheerful.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

"Honour among thieves, eh?"
"Something like that."

This game is the shit, I kid you not. And not the bad kind of shit, but the one you can serve out to the guests and they'll think it is delicious chocolate. Which it is. That is how good Uncharted 2 is; you shit chocolate.

The story takes place 2 years after the original Uncharted, with Nathan Drake once more being our hero. He is met by Harry Flynn, one of his former associates and Chloe, his old love interest. Both new additions to the series. They are sent by a client to obtain a mongolian lamp in the most secured museum in history. Of course, Drake figures out that Marco Polo found Shambalha, aka Shangri-La.

From there, new characters appear and old ones pop up. Each one having amazing dialogue with Drake, resulting in a action packed, humor and thrill in the same game. If you loved the old Indiana Jones movies, then this game is something you should check out.

But the gameplay is far better. Sure, sometimes you get stuck, but you realize quickly that the combat is fast paced and never fails. Want to shoot someone in the face? Want to grenade them? Want to hang and throw a grenade to the closest explosive barrel? Want to go personal hand-to-hand combat? Want to be a ninja? That's what Uncharted 2 offers in the combat apartment.

Of course, if you play on Hard/Crushing like me, you might want to find cover quickly. Three to five shots will kill you, I shit you not. And they never miss either! I haven't tried the lesser modes, but I take you can survive a whole lot more.

Then there is the whole treasure finding. There are exactly 99 + One Strange Relic, equaling in 100 treasures. I have found 79 now, almost at the end of my second playthrough. Thankfully, if you check the chapters you'll see where you missed a treasure or two. But it will occupy you, as it strangely draws you in.

Let's not forget about the Multiplayer either! It's fun, loads of fun. You can either into a Deathmatch where you are, of course, to assault the other team. Or, you can team up in a Co-Op game and fight against the hordes of enemies. If you've played Gears of War, it's similiar except that you're not bulky and you have to be more careful.

But there you go, Uncharted 2! For everyone out there with a PS3, you need this game. If you don't have this game and own a PS3, then you should be ashamed. You defile the very name of PS3! GO BUY IT NOW!

"So... we're dicking this guy, right?"
"Damn straight!" "Absolutely!"

Dark Cloud/Chronicle

So, not sure if anyone knows this, but I am a Dark Cloud fan. It's one of my favorite games of all time and when I heard a sequel was coming out(6 years ago lololol), I was excited. Really excited. The only problem was that I didn't have enough money to buy it and with time, I forgot about it. Until this summer, when I got to borrow it from a friend.

Now in my last blog, I said that I finished it, but for you who doesn't know what magnificent piece this is; youtube it. Do it. Both Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle. I'll wait...

...

...

...

Done? Alright, let's get this show on the roadddddddddddddddddddd.

Dark Cloud, released as one of the first RPGs for Playstation 2, is a mix between classic Final Fantasy and Zelda. You move around just like in Zelda, but have various stats you can boost. Of course, the boosting only goes for your weapons, as you can only increase your HP and Defense in your character.

Anyway, the system is kinda flawed. Your weapon has WHP (Weapon Hit Points) that will decrease at every hit. If it comes to 0, your weapon is destroyed and LOST FOREVER. That sucks especially when you've been building your weapon for the whole game.

There are six different characters and six different types of weapons you can use; Swords, Slingshots, Axe, Magic, Spear and LAZER GUN PEW PEW PEW. They are all assigned to a certain character, so your main character can't have Slingshot. Damn.

Anyway, the story is pretty simple. The Dark Genie is released from his 400 year old prison and is set to destroy the world once more. He starts with the Hero's village (The Hero shalt henceforth be known as Toan) and totally decimates it. Of course Toan and the Mayor survives with a small little house, where your adventure begins.

The Fairy King arrives and gives you a magical gem called Atlamilla, which is said to be able to store anything and use it to change the world. It's rad. You get your first tutorial once you found some Atla, a piece from a certain village, which you are then assigned to place out. It's fun and it's rewarding.

So, the story is pretty straightforward here; fix this village, move onto the next one, plot device, boss, next village, plot device and so forth. But it never gets dull with the story. That's what pushes you to finish the game, even when the dungeons get extremely dull- you want to finish it.

Eventually, you go back 400 years into the past to attempt and stop the Dark Genie from resurfacing. Of course, this changes the future! And from having two moons in the sky, there is suddenly only one? Time sure did change.

Which brings us to Dark Chronicle, the prequel/sequel. I'm not sure which one it is. Sometimes it feels like a prequel but sometimes like a sequel. But right now, I'm going to go at it as a prequel. The story begin with a girl, known as Monica, rushes into battle and tries to save her father but to no avail. Her father is murdered and before her stands Gaspard with a grim, sinister look.

After that, we meet a boy, Maximillian who will be narrating the whole story for you. Oh goody!. Anyway, moving on, the boy gets into serious business... with clows. So he fights a clown army in the sewers.

I am not joking. Even if I wish I was. But you know what, I'll forgive it. It was a funny arc to begin, even if it was you against the clown world.

IT'S MAX AGAINST THE WORLD.

Ehum.

Anyway, after Chapter 1 you are finally teamed up with Monica. Yaaaaaay! And your adventure begins once more, with Atlamilla once more playing a big role. (oh and Monica is from the future: a hundred years into the future to be precise)

Anyway, the gameplay is basically what it was in Dark Cloud. However, it has refined to perfection. No longer will you lose your weapon for all eternity if it breaks down. It will still be there. Hurray! And they've reduced some elements as well. It's all gooooooood.

Anyway(for the third time), I won't go in more with Dark Chronicle. You should play it by yourself. Oh, for you Americans it is actually Dark Cloud 2. Silly I know.

But if you have played both of these games and loved them, I want you to do me a favor. Send an e-mail or something to Level-5 and ask for a DARK CLOUD 3. So it can happen. CHEERING WILL ENSUE THEN.

AND I WILL BE HAPPY.

AND BLOG MORE.

THANK YOU AND PEACE OUT.

I GOT NOTHING TO BLOG OK

Seriously, my mind has drawn blank. It could be from playing games or that I'm stressed with college as it is. But ah, they want me to blog.

So, uh...
Rocktober eh? I've realized that this fall is the gaming month for all gamers. A lot of games coming that I want to get my hands on.
-Uncharted 2 (pre-ordered)
-Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time (pre-ordered)
-Brütal Legend
-Dragon Age Origins
-Assassin Creed 2

See, too much for my wallet. D: Fortunately my birthday is the 14th November, so maybe I'll get some cash then. *hint hint*

Other than that, me and my friends went to play some Halo ODST this friday. It was wicked, as we slew uncountable numbers of enemies. In Legendary. Who cares about being Heroic when you can be Legendary, amirite? And we finished the game pretty quickly too, even if it was co-op. lol

Personally I think it was way better than Halo 3, story and gameplay wise. But hey, they're both great games.

Then I got to try Fable II. ARGH I WANT TO GET A 360 NOW. D: BUT SONY LOVE COMES FIRST.

Other than that? Uh. I finished Dark Chronicle(LOL 6 YEAR OLD GAME) yesterday. It was nice, but it could have been a little better. Still better than Dark Cloud for sure. xD (though Dark Cloud is my personal favorite)

As for Dissidia, I finished Inward Chaos(hardest effing story). Level 110 Chaos is not cool. Not cool. Luckily for me, I found out a great strategy.

Spam those tornadoes Terra! SPAM THEM I TELL YE! THE MOMENT YOU STOP IS THE MOMENT YOU DIE! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE EX MODE! NO DON'T GO INTO EX BURST! YES ONE OUT OF THREE ROUNDS COMPLETED GO GO GO.

I died about 10 times until I bested him.

Hm.

I got nothing more.

Uh.

Anyone want to suggest some kind of game I should get until Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank? It's like two weeks until then and my patience is running low. lol
